Almost Superwoman

Staring out the window, gazing at the sky and the tall lamp posts lined in the streets, allowing old memories to come flooding back, while the speakers blare out my exquisite collection of tracks that have stuck with me, for longer than any of my scrunchies ever have; is my favourite thing to do in the moving car. Although time and again it hasn’t proved to be friendly since I do not wear water-proof mascara.

Blues and Prints

Every now and then my closet starts to display symptoms of inadequacy to me. Although I make sure to add a few articles rather often to keep the fun going in our bitter sweet relationship, yet, from time to time, one look at the stacked racks transport me into this blank space with nothing but a backdrop of minimal music filled with strange chords and riffs. In the days gone by, I quit on walking

Unnoticed Transitions

Another new year, another new set of resolutions that are born with excitement but wither as the days go by, making the initial plans morph into what is bound to happen. Mundane routines seem like it’s stuck forever, but we never see the day-to-day changes that do happen, it’s only when we look back to the same day last year, we’ve accomplished and experienced so many things that have made us become who we are

After The Rain Has Stopped

Sitting by the fireplace in the warmest of the clothes, a scarf wrapped around your neck and feet in the woollen knee high socks. Petting your little husky, whose blue eyes tinkle now and then with the fire’s reflection, in the dark cozy room, while it rains outside. The cold breeze and droplets knocking on the door and teasing the window curtains. You fall asleep and wake up with the sweet smell of the earth

Stay Inside

I have always wanted to do a post with looks that accurately portray my style. So for this shoot, I decided to switch things around a little bit. And the plan of letting Deb handle both the camera and the styling bit, and me only posing in as many ways I could, worked out quite fine. The weekend was packed with a couple of day long shoots and thus the idea of working around a

She Sprints

A world of her own. World close to where the flowers bloom. Near to where the water flows. She sprints. Chasing the Illusion, escaping the delusion. Getting carried away, losing time, losing count. Mimosas & leaves are her playthings and grass her carpet. Sits down when out of breath. Looking back, a quick flashback at the memories made, things learnt. Waking up with the rain showers. Droplets dripping through the bamboo roof. Leaving footprints, peeking

Things That Linger

Even though it’s been quite a while living away from home, I miss my parents quite often. Nothing as comforting as Mom’s touch, is there?  I open my closet and look for this stole that was my mom’s favourite back in the days. She would wear it all the time. Overused pale white stole with black block print patterns all over it that started to fade long ago. Surprisingly it hasn’t let go of mom’s

Tattva : Earth

We, humans, have been granted with some of the most marvellous gifts that we, with a predisposed mind, often forget to remember and express gratitude for. I speak of the elements of nature and life, ones that we probably wouldn’t exist without. Elements that represent the essential senses that we experience. The five elements, as mentioned by different religions and cultures, that are the basic building blocks of life on this planet - Earth, Fire,

All By Ourselves

Things that take over our minds, by the sea shore, by a cottage on the hills, by the window on a rainy day or while walking amidst the tall trees in a jungle. We are forever on an endless search fuelled by the never ending train of thoughts, looking for something we don’t know of. Carrying along the memories that stay, memories that haunt. Unexpected companions tagging along in the journey. A long expedition towards

A Happy Picture

"A unified society where people treat each other with respect and love, not let naivety and discrimination influence their judgement or behavior, and learn to accept others for who they are. That would be#IndiaCool." In a world full of different kind of humans, it’s quite inconceivable for every single one of them to behave in the positive manner. For all of them to be a considerate human being and abide by what’s right and what’s
