Living among millions in the same city, we all have our own agenda for each day. An agenda for what we want our lives to end up, years later, or maybe just tomorrow. Something about a new day that awakens the eager soul within ourselves. Some wake up with a written routine, engraved in the path they chose. Some strive to live each day spontaneously, equally a chosen path. Both with a hopeful smile.
Dreaming before being woken up by the rays of light seeping through the window, lighting up the dormant abode. The morning coffee, mails and to-do lists. Visiting the mall that silently acknowledges the familiar faces and judges the new ones. A quiet lunch after the work is done, looking at everyone else rush to finish theirs. Before I scurry back home to catch the sun sink behind the tall towers. Even though the city noise continues, there’s a sense of serenity that comes along with the approaching darkness. Small tete-a-tete with a couple of friends by the bar, where people scream on top of their lungs, in an attempt to hear each other. Sometimes the overheard words of a stranger sitting next to you, ignites our imagination to create a fabricated life that they may be living, in a flash a second. Who knows, it could be true. Stepping out for the next stop – a concert, only to be welcomed by the unpredictable rain and cold breeze. The much required exhilaration that keeps us moving. Making my way through the crowd, walking past the music lovers with their synchronised moves and steps. While I seek for inspiration through the language of music. Calling it a day as I head home, with night lamps standing tall, burning bright, for their journey has just begun. The journey of ‘Dawn to Dusk’, or vice versa.
