Another new year, another new set of resolutions that are born with excitement but wither as the days go by, making the initial plans morph into what is bound to happen. Mundane routines seem like it’s stuck forever, but we never see the day-to-day changes that do happen, it’s only when we look back to the same day last year, we’ve accomplished and experienced so many things that have made us become who we are today.
So much energy went into planning what to achieve in the new year, getting all pumped up about new projects, searching for new music. Here I am, listening to the same tracks I did a month ago, thinking about resuming my discontinued yoga classes, staring out of the same window with the same noise from the construction happening around the corner. It seems like I’m stuck, but I know I’m not, as there’s a lot ahead of me and each day will be bringing in something new, in slow transitions.
Bringing in the new year through an exciting collaboration with Topshop, which recently came to India, via Jabong. We finished shooting it in the last week of December 2015 and right afterwards, I took my yearly vacation (yay). I had been meaning to shoot at Ramanagara, ever since I passed by it on my way to Mysore about 2 years ago. And it happened in the most unplanned manner, like most of the exciting things in life do. It took me about 7 days to just decide on the pieces to pick for the shoot and then everything else just fell into place, the accessories, hair and makeup etc. Both the looks with a stark contrast in colors, happily went along with the two sides of the spot, rocks and greens.
Cannot wait for things to unfold this year and to explore myself, the world and the new exciting opportunities. Here’s to 2016!
